Germany is experiencing a true motorhome boom. Last year, over 78,000 motorhomes were newly registered - an increase of 44.8% compared to the previous year. But all too often, motorhome owners miss reliable mobile connectivity, carefree Internet surfing and easy access to infotainment.
With WiCAR®, Antennentechnik Bad Blankenburg (ATTB) brings digital capabilities and lifestyle to motorhomes. The small, compact LTE router is a true multi-talent. In combination with powerful antennas, it not only enables extensive infotainment, Internet access via WiFi or LAN cable and mobile working, but also access to the home network, GPS route tracking and SAT>IP. In addition, WiCAR® offers automatic connection to known WiFi networks based on stored GPS coordinates, security functions such as door contact and battery monitoring, and individually configurable wake-up function with status report.
Uncomplicated and reliable
During the development of WiCAR®, special emphasis was placed on an uncomplicated and reliable solution. With a small, lightweight and easy-to-mount hardware box. With a multitude of connections and expansion options. With high-quality components that nothing can shake and that tolerate extreme cold just as well as great heat. With a personal MyWiCAR® portal that displays vehicle data in a user-friendly way and offers a wide range of planning and configuration options. With the best performance and the highest possible transmission security. In short, with features and functions that leave nothing to be desired and allow the motorhome owner to enjoy all the freedoms.
Nine WiCAR® product variants
ATTB offers a total of nine WiCAR® product variants for different vehicle types and requirements. Specifically for motorhomes, ATTB recommends three products: 9004.02, 9009.02 and 9009.03. For optimal reception, an LTE outdoor or windshield antenna is combined with a WiFi indoor antenna. The antennas are connected to WiCAR® via cable. The professional installation of WiCAR® and the necessary antennas takes about 2-3 hours. ATTB recommends the installation by a professional workshop.
