Desay SV Europe supports the initiative Holiday Pass Weimar

Desay SV Europe News

This year, Desay SV Europe's Christmas donation goes to the initiative Holiday Pass Weimar (www.ferienpass-weimar.de). The non-profit organization enables children and young people from socially disadvantaged families to go on vacation. It offers over 20 nature, creative, art, sports and adventure projects for different age groups. The projects include a fishing trip where the children and young people set up camp by the lake, a theater workshop that teaches the basics of acting and a pirate adventure club where the participants search for lost treasures. All projects are supervised by teachers.

Long-standing commitment in the region

"Last year, we started supporting socially committed organizations and initiatives in the greater Weimar area during the Christmas season. Our aim is to bring joy to disadvantaged children and young people," explains Dr. Michael Weber, Managing Director of Desay SV Europe. "We have been involved in the region in which we are based for many years. For example, we promote the reading skills of pupils at the Weimar-Schöndorf state regular school with daily newspapers. We support the Weimar City Fire Brigade Association in its work with children and young people on the topic of fire safety. With the SC 1903 Weimar sports club, we sponsor an organisation that campaigns against racism and for tolerance and diversity."
