Charity donation instead of printing

Desay SV Europe News

This year, Desay SV Europe is waiving printed Christmas cards for customers and business partners in favor of a donation to a social organization in Erfurt: DIE BUNTEN SCHAFE e.V. Following the motto “Together we are colorful” the association supports single parents and socially disadvantaged children and adolescents in Thuringia. “We have been committed to the region for many years,” explains Dr. Michael Weber, Managing Director of Desay SV Europe. “Our focus is on supporting and promoting children and young people in and around Weimar.”

Association is active in three projects

The work of DIE BUNTEN SCHAFE e.V. is characterized by three projects: the “SummerCamp”, “Pausi” and “Wünsch Dir was”. The “SummerCamp” gives working single parents the possibility to take a holiday and relax with their children for free. An exciting and varied program is offered for the children. With the “Pausi” project the association provides pupils with snacks, fruits and vegetables every day. The background: Almost every tenth child comes without a breakfast bread to school. Small and big wishes come true for socially disadvantaged children and adolescents with the project “Wünsch Dir was”. For example the children´s home in Weimar was supported, computers were bought and Christmas wishes were fulfilled.

Longstanding commitment to the region

Desay SV Europe has been committed to Weimar and the region for many years. The pupils at the Staatliche Regelschule Weimar-Schöndorf for example receive a daily newspaper to promote reading skills and general education. With interactive workbooks the company helps the City Fire Brigade Association (Stadtfeuerwehrverband) Weimar e.V. in the child and youth work on the subject of fire protection. For years, Desay SV Europe has been supporting the Sportclub SC 1903 Weimar e.V. The club is committed to fighting racism and promoting tolerance and diversity. Values that also form an important basis for Desay SV Europe.
